Imagine the following scenarios:
Scenario 1: You are at home, watching television with your partner and all of a sudden, your eighteen-month-old baby starts choking after eating the skin of an apple – would you know what to do?
Scenario 2: You are in the kitchen cooking dinner and your father-in-law suddenly falls to the floor clutching his heart. He is suffering from a cardiac arrest – would you know what to do?
At Blueguard Middle East, we believe that learning a first aid training course and understanding the techniques of basic lifesaving skills can be the difference between the life and death of a loved one you choose to help in a medical emergency. It is statistically proven that if cardiopulmonary resuscitation is performed combined with the safe use of an automated external defibrillator, this can significantly increase an individual’s chances of survival: survival rates as high as 75% have been reported when properly trained first aiders are involved.
As a result, Blueguard Middle East has created a bespoke “First Aid training for Parents” Course, which takes into account the use of an automated external defibrillator and cardiopulmonary resuscitation for all ages.
Our First Aid Training for Parents course will teach you the roles and responsibilities of a First Aider, how to assess an incident and how to deal with external bleeding, hypovolemic shock and minor injuries. You will learn the different techniques used to administer the safe use of an automated external defibrillator (AED) and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) for infants, toddlers, children and adults. This first aid training course can also be useful for grandparents who are willing to learn first aid training as a duty of care for their family’s wellbeing. Our First Aid Training for Parents course is done in the Blueguard training center and can also be done from the comfort of your choice of venue if your group size is 10+ individuals.
Parents will learn to:
